Meet the
Governors
We love what we do at Miniland Farm
Meet Sacha Draper: Governor
I'm a community governor for Miniland, with a background in strategy, marketing and wellbeing. I've worked in the not for profit sector for most of my career, often in organisations that have a clear social purpose. I'm also heavily involved in voluntary work and have experience supporting looked after children with complex needs. I'm also passionate about ensuring young people reach their full potential while at school. Growing up in poverty with very limited resources, attending a great state school helped me succeed and get to where I am today. I'm also a big believer in the healing power of animal assisted therapy and a huge animal lover - when I'm not working or governing, you'll most likely find me running my local pet food bank or volunteer dog walking for elderly or disabled people.
Matt Franklin: Chair of Governors
I’m honoured to have recently taken on the role of Chair of Governors at Miniland. In this position, I’m committed to supporting the Governing Body in delivering strong and effective governance that helps shape a vibrant and enriching learning environment for all our students.
I bring both personal and professional passion to this role as a father of four wonderful children and a wonderfully varied career to date - starting my career as a teacher, serving as a Police Officer, and, since the early 2000s, working as a Project Manager.
It’s a real privilege to collaborate with such dedicated colleagues, and I’m genuinely excited about the opportunities ahead for MiniLand to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our learners.
